Community general secretary Alasdair McDiarmid has signed the union's Women's Reproductive Health Charter, committing the organisation to the standards it promotes among employers.

The signing was announced on Wednesday 21 October as part of Community's work to improve support for women experiencing reproductive-health difficulties at work.
The commitments include workplace policies covering menstrual health, menopause and fertility treatment, alongside appropriate training and flexible arrangements, including remote-working options.
The charter forms part of the union's Supporting Her Together campaign, which encourages employers to address reproductive health through practical policies and more open workplace conversations.
The wider campaign also covers pregnancy loss and reproductive-health-related medical leave.
By adopting the charter itself, Community is extending the campaign from negotiations with employers to its own employment practices.
