Labour has moved into the lead over Reform UK in the latest national voting intention poll, providing an encouraging boost for Prime Minister Andy Burnham and the party.
The new Deltapoll survey places Labour on 29 per cent—up two percentage points since its previous poll—while Reform remains unchanged on 27 per cent.
The Conservatives are seven points behind Labour on 21 per cent, despite also recording a two-point increase.
The Liberal Democrats remain unchanged on eight per cent, while support for the Greens has fallen by two points to eight per cent. The SNP stands at two per cent, Plaid Cymru at one per cent and other parties collectively receive three per cent.
The findings suggest Labour is building renewed momentum and successfully strengthening its support amid an increasingly competitive political landscape.
Moving from level with Reform in Deltapoll’s previous survey to a two-point lead will be welcomed by Labour MPs, members and campaigners across the country. It also underlines Labour’s position as the principal national force capable of defeating Reform and keeping the Conservatives out of power.
While individual opinion polls provide only a snapshot of public opinion, the movement towards Labour will give the party confidence as it continues making its case to voters and delivering its programme in government.
Deltapoll surveyed 2,017 adults across Great Britain between 14 and 17 August 2026. The changes are measured against its previous poll, conducted between 24 and 27 July.
