Moore seeks £3.54m allocation for Barnet drug and alcohol services

The Labour cabinet member for adult social care and health is the lead member on a proposal covering 2026/27 to 2028/29. It would add protected Public Health Grant funding to the council's contract with Change Grow Live.

The money would support the continuation and expansion of established prevention, treatment and recovery services. Groups identified for enhanced support include rough sleepers, women, young people and people involved with the criminal justice system.

Using the existing provider would build on treatment pathways and staff already working in the borough. The aim is to maintain continuity while strengthening support for residents with complex needs.

The decision concerns deploying funding already awarded during 2026. Cabinet is being asked to authorise its use; the proposed allocation has not yet confirmed as approved.
