Labour’s Alison Dalziel has won the Corby West by-election to Corby Town Council, securing 759 votes in the poll held on Thursday 1 October.

The town council’s published result confirms Dalziel’s election, adding a Labour representative for the ward.
Barron: ‘Corby voted for hope’
Lee Barron, Labour MP for Corby and East Northamptonshire, welcomed the result in a message posted on 2 October, describing it as an “impressive Labour election victory”.
“This was a positive campaign, and Corby voted for hope,” Barron wrote.
“Thank you to everyone who supported and voted for Alison for Corby Town Council.”
The election was contested by four candidates, with Dalziel standing for Labour alongside representatives of the Liberal Democrats, Green Party and Reform UK. One town council seat was being filled.
Barron’s congratulations recognised both Dalziel’s success and the contribution of supporters to the campaign. The result gives her a mandate to represent Corby West on the town council.
