The Labour MP for Carlisle tabled a written question to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero on 9 October.

She also asked what funding programmes are available for pilot projects and commercial deployment in the UK.

The question seeks information about both the technology’s potential and the route from trial schemes to commercial use. It does not announce an approved project or a funding allocation.

A government answer is due on 13 October. No response was displayed when the question was checked.
