The Labour MP for Easington tabled a written question on 9 October asking what discussions the Department for Transport has held with the Department for Education.

The question specifically concerns Category D coach licences and the potential merits of providing that training through the programme.

Morris framed the proposal as a way to address driver shortages in the coach industry. His question seeks an assessment of the approach, rather than confirmation of an agreed expansion.

An answer is due on 14 October. No response was displayed when the question was checked, and no additional training funding has been announced through it.
