Labour MP Feryal Clark has backed Labour’s Sagal Abdi-Wali as party members gathered to support her campaign in the final days before the Holborn and St Pancras by-election.

In a post dated Sunday 4 October, the Labour MP for Enfield North said members were “out in force” to support Abdi-Wali that morning, encouraging voters to back Labour on 8 October.
Photographs accompanying the post showed a large group of supporters gathered with yellow and red “Vote Labour” placards.
Abdi-Wali: ‘our communities at the heart’
Abdi-Wali, Labour’s parliamentary candidate and the leader of Camden Council, has represented Camden Square since 2022. Her campaign has emphasised her local experience and commitment to putting communities at the centre of her work.

In Labour’s announcement of her candidacy, she said: “Throughout this campaign, I promise to put our communities at the heart of everything I do, now and for the future.”
Clark’s support adds to Labour’s campaigning effort as the constituency prepares to elect its next MP.
Polling takes place on Thursday 8 October, with polling stations open from 7am until 10pm.
