The Halewood clinic is based at the Halewood Centre on Roseheath Drive, with an appointment-only service from 9am to 12.30pm and a scheduled opening date of 9 October.

In Huyton, a new clinic at The Arch will operate on alternating Saturdays, starting from 10 October. Appointments for both services can be booked online.

Axess provides services including contraception, emergency contraception, sexually transmitted infection testing, implant fitting and removal, and pregnancy testing.

Bannon, Knowsley's cabinet member for health, said residents across the borough should be able to access healthcare locally and welcomed the additional provision.
