Alongside the historic investment package, Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the US President unveiled the UK-US Tech Prosperity Deal.
Global tech giants – including Microsoft, NVIDIA, Google, OpenAI and CoreWeave – have pledged a combined £31 billion into the UK’s AI infrastructure. The funding will support everything from data centres to computer chip production, boosting the processing power behind artificial intelligence.
The government says the deal will “drive medical innovation, deliver homegrown clean energy, create UK jobs and grow our economy.”
This is a clear sign that Labour is making the UK a world leader in cutting-edge technologies like AI, quantum and nuclear.
