The Learning Rooms at Four Seasons Garden Centre Supports Communities Across Southport
Patrick Hurley, MP for Southport and the Northern Parishes, is highlighting the community support work delivered by The Learning Rooms at Four Seasons Garden Centre.
Based on Liverpool Road in Birkdale, The Learning Rooms works with partners including Parenting 2000, SWACA and Light for Life to provide welfare packages and practical support for vulnerable residents.
The organisation also runs Hub Grub, a community-priced meal service providing freshly cooked food daily on a not-for-profit basis, alongside regular social activities aimed at reducing isolation and bringing people together.
These include Talkin' Tables every Monday, a Luncheon Club every Wednesday, and regular community-priced themed events.
The Learning Rooms additionally provides educational and work experience opportunities for young people and students from specialist and mainstream schools across the region, while also offering free independent transport for service users.
A spokesperson said: "Everything we do is about supporting people, building confidence, reducing isolation and creating opportunities."
Patrick Hurley, MP for Southport and the Northern Parishes, said: "This is about far more than a garden centre and standard day provision. The Learning Rooms quietly does extraordinary work supporting people across Southport, and it deserves far greater recognition for the difference it is making in our community."
