Peter Swallow has backed pupils raising money for solar panels at New Scotland Hill Primary School, with the community appeal now showing more than £10,000 towards its £15,000 target.

The Labour MP for Bracknell congratulated Year 6 pupils on Saturday 10 October after they had raised £8,000. He shared the fundraiser with residents as it entered its closing days.
By Monday morning, the campaign displayed £10,437 raised from 130 supporters. The parent-teacher association wants to install a 20-kilowatt-peak rooftop solar system at the Little Sandhurst school.
The proposed installation would help reduce the school's dependence on grid electricity and give pupils a practical resource for learning about renewable energy. The appeal budget covers equipment, installation and associated project costs.
Qualifying donations of up to £250 per donor can receive pound-for-pound match funding. The campaign's current closing information gives 15 October at 12.36pm, allowing supporters a final opportunity to contribute towards the installation.
