Unite general secretary Sharon Graham has welcomed a new pay agreement for offshore workers employed by EnQuest on its Magnus platform.

The union says approximately 70 workers backed the two-year settlement, which delivers an average nine per cent increase in base salary and an average 74 per cent increase in offshore allowances over the agreement period.
The deal also improves overtime and training-day rates. Unite estimates the overall increase will be worth more than £14,000 per worker on average by the agreement's end in March 2028, with the uplift backdated to January 2026.
Workers covered include electrical, instrument, mechanical and operations technicians, as well as control-room operators. The agreement follows union recognition on the platform earlier this year.
Graham said the settlement demonstrated Unite's work to improve jobs, pay and conditions. The union said negotiations had been led by its workplace representatives and that EnQuest had engaged throughout, allowing agreement without a dispute.
