West Yorkshire Mayor Tracy Brabin is among northern leaders taking a regional trade mission to India. The visit is intended to build trade, investment and civic links, with planned engagements in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram is also taking part. The Liverpool delegation’s programme includes the opening of the University of Liverpool’s new Bengaluru campus. The authorities have set out investment and trade as aims of the visit; no new deals were announced in the material reviewed.
