This is a quick email to let you know that we've published a new report today by Anita Sangha, [Growing up in the Unequal Kingdom](https://bxg5x.r.sp1-brevo.net/mk/cl/f/sh/SMK1E8tHeFuBmPI2atuvNGsAAu9O/T3XS7gidpYMF), that explores young people's perceptions of inequality.
Drawing on 21 peer-reviewed studies, it finds that older children increasingly see inequality as unfair, even when it benefits them, and favour redistribution. However, experiencing inequality can make children less generous and trigger negative emotions around social exclusion based on economic status. Children's beliefs are also shaped by their own circumstances. The report calls for further research across a range of gaps in the evidence base.
