Luke Pollard has welcomed a £370m contract to supply Kuwait with British-made air-defence systems, which the Ministry of Defence says will create 100 jobs in the UK.

The deal involves MARSS Systems Limited, an EOS company, and is expected to support skilled engineering and manufacturing work.
Production will be based in Bristol, with the contract also set to expand the company’s UK offices. The jobs are expected outcomes of the agreement rather than confirmed completed recruitment.
MARSS will integrate radars, jammers and interceptors with its NiDAR platform, an artificial-intelligence-enabled command and control system.
Pollard, the Minister for Defence Readiness and Industry, said the agreement would strengthen a regional partner’s defences while supporting employment at home.
The contract forms part of Taskforce Sabre, which brings government and industry together to support Gulf states’ defence requirements. MARSS says integration work will continue through 2027.
