Ealing’s cabinet has approved the next design and procurement stage of a planned 100-home council development in Northolt, brought forward under Louise Brett’s housing portfolio.

Ealing’s cabinet agreed the Mandeville decision on 7 October, approving £438,597.54 of borrowing-funded capital spending for professional fees and project management.
The scheme proposes 100 council homes for social rent, with a mix of one, two and three-bedroom properties across apartment buildings and townhouses.
The council will seek a contractor through the Notting Hill Genesis framework. The procurement route remains subject to confirmation of a Greater London Authority grant allocation, and contract awards will require further decisions.
The report schedules a revised planning application for October. One block will also require Building Safety Regulator approval before construction can begin.
Brett is Ealing’s deputy leader and cabinet member for safe and genuinely affordable homes. The latest decision funds preparatory work; it does not confirm that construction has started or that the homes have been completed.
