Welsh Labour's agreement with the Welsh Government has allowed the 2026-27 Supplementary Budget to proceed to a Senedd vote.

Ken Skates has secured an additional £60 million for additional learning needs in an agreement between Welsh Labour and the Welsh Government.
The money is for the current financial year and is intended to support children and young people in schools and colleges across Wales.
The agreement allowed the Government's 2026-27 Supplementary Budget to be laid before the Senedd on 13 October. Members are due to debate it on 3 November.
The Supplementary Budget also carries forward a wider package of investment first set out in June, including spending on the NHS, childcare and free school meals.
Skates described the additional learning-needs allocation as an important first step and said the money must now deliver for pupils and students who need support.
The funding is agreed between the Welsh Government and Welsh Labour, but it remains part of a Supplementary Budget that requires Senedd approval.
