Karin Smyth has approved three changes to integrated care board boundaries that will take effect on 1 April 2027.

Newton Longville and the surrounding Buckinghamshire area will move from Central East ICB to Thames Valley ICB, which covers the rest of Buckinghamshire Council.

Ingleton, Bentham and a neighbouring part of North Yorkshire will transfer from Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB to Humber and North Yorkshire ICB.

The Craven area will also move into Humber and North Yorkshire ICB from West Yorkshire ICB.

NHS England's executive formally decided the changes on 22 September before ministers approved them. Smyth said the aim was to align health bodies with local and strategic authorities.

Further boundary and merger decisions will be considered alongside wider changes to strategic authorities, with any additional alterations expected from April 2028.
