Labour MP Julia Buckley has appealed for sponsorship after taking part in the Big Shropshire Sleep Out in support of services for people experiencing homelessness.

The inaugural event took place at the Shrewsbury Ark on the night of Saturday 10 October, continuing into Sunday morning. Participants spent the night outdoors to raise funds for the charity.
Buckley said one night outside could never replicate the reality faced by people without a safe place to live, but described the event as a reminder of the need to support homelessness services.
The Ark provides help ranging from immediate crisis support and basic necessities to healthcare and longer-term support towards stability and independence.
The Shrewsbury MP thanked participants, organisers and supporters, and shared her fundraising appeal. The charity said the event would help it continue supporting vulnerable people in the local community.
