The Greenlight West Creative Workspace Fund opened on 8 October. Applications from public, private and voluntary-sector organisations close at noon on 3 December.

The capital programme will support refurbishment and retrofitting of premises, including facilities serving film, television and other creative businesses.

Eligible projects include affordable workshops, specialist production facilities, industry-led training spaces, business incubation and makerspaces.

Godwin, the region’s Labour mayor, said the programme would help tackle shortages of affordable specialist space that restrict businesses’ growth.

The fund draws on the region’s £25 million Creative Places Growth Fund allocation for 2026–29. It is a new application programme within that wider allocation, separate from the £4.5 million production fund launched in September.

An information webinar for prospective applicants is scheduled for 19 October.
