GMB Politics London said members were “out in force” on Saturday 3 October, sharing a photograph of a large gathering of supporters carrying Labour and GMB placards.

“Sagal grew up in Camden. Now members are hitting the doors to send her to Parliament,” the account said.

A TULO campaign day

The activity formed part of a TULO campaign day. National TULO—the Trade Union and Labour Party Liaison Organisation—operates as Labour Unions, bringing together Labour’s affiliated trade unions.

Abdi-Wali, the leader of Camden Council and Labour’s parliamentary candidate, has represented Camden Square since 2022.

The union’s doorstep campaigning adds to the effort by Labour members and volunteers to secure support for her in the final days before the constituency elects its next MP.

Polling takes place on Thursday 8 October, with polling stations open from 7am to 10pm.
