Community groups and organisations across Worcester are being encouraged to apply for funding to help turn local ideas into action.
Worcester City Council has opened applications for this year’s Worcester Community Grants programme, offering awards of up to £1,000 for projects that have a positive impact on people living in the city.
The scheme is designed to strengthen communities, improve wellbeing and support local causes. Funding must be used to deliver a specific project or activity and cannot cover day-to-day running costs.
Councillor Katie Collier, Vice Chair of Worcester City Council’s Communities Committee, said: “The City Council has supported a wide range of organisations through the Community Grants programme in recent years.
“These grants have enabled groups to deliver valuable initiatives that bring people together, improve wellbeing and create lasting positive change across Worcester.
“We encourage eligible organisations to apply and make the most of this funding opportunity.”
Applications can be made online at worcester.gov.uk/communitygrants or in person at the Guildhall in Worcester. The closing date is Sunday 2 August.
