Free Breakfast Clubs Expanded to Hundreds More Schools, Supporting Families and Children
Labour is continuing its roll-out of free breakfast clubs, giving children a healthy start to the school day while helping parents manage the pressures of work and the cost of living.
From April, 500 more schools will begin offering free breakfast clubs, benefiting more than 300,000 children. Applications have also opened for a further 1,500 schools to join the programme from September.
So far, the programme has already delivered 7 million free meals, saving families up to £450 a year. New polling shows just how vital this support has become, with 45% of parents saying they prioritise primary schools that offer breakfast clubs.
By tackling hunger, supporting learning and easing household budgets, Labour’s breakfast clubs are proving to be a lifeline for families across the country – and a practical step towards giving every child the best possible start in life.
