Ed Miliband, Fleur Anderson and Irene Campbell have been shortlisted for this year's Political Purpose Awards, which celebrate the politicians, councils and campaigners doing the most to champion nature.

Ed Miliband, Fleur Anderson and Irene Campbell have been shortlisted for this year's Political Purpose Awards, which celebrate the politicians, councils and campaigners doing the most to champion nature.

This year, Labour MPs, Peers, Boroughs and Councils are shortlisted for a total of 17 awards – the highest number of all the political parties.

Now in its fourth year and run by campaign group Nature 2030, the award’s judges include representatives from Greenpeace, London Wildlife Trust and Keep Britain Tidy. The awards ceremony will be held in the House of Commons in September.
