Daniel Johnson has asked the Scottish Government how a proposed bus fare cap could change payments to private bus operators in the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport area.

The Scottish Labour MSP for Edinburgh Southern lodged the written question on 9 October.
He requested the expected percentage change in payments arising from fare increases and from additional passenger demand associated with the proposed cap.
The question seeks to separate the effects of fare levels and increased use, providing a clearer account of the proposal’s consequences for operator payments.
It does not give a cap amount or establish that the scheme has been approved. No government answer was displayed when the question was checked.
