Last night, Makerfield delivered a message that resonated far beyond the north west.
Andy Burnham won with a landslide — 54.8% of the vote, outperforming every single poll and beating the combined total of all other parties. It was a result that spoke to what is possible when Labour listens, leads, and turns up.
SME4Labour turned up.
We organised coaches from London, brought hundreds of volunteers to Makerfield, and joined the thousands on the ground who knocked doors, made calls, and made the difference. We are proud of every single person who gave their time. This result belongs to all of you.
