The Co-operative Party will tomorrow hold its fourth annual Equalities Conference, bringing together members, activists and campaigners to celebrate how co-operative values can drive real progress in the fight for equality.
The event comes at a time when the Labour Government has placed equality at the heart of its agenda, with the Co-operative movement continuing its long tradition of empowering communities and championing fairness.
Seema Malhotra MP, Minister for Equalities, will be among the guest speakers. She will join a line-up of campaigners and Party members for discussions on how to tackle inequality, share best practice and highlight how co-operation has been central to advancing rights throughout history.
The online conference, which begins at 10am tomorrow, will also feature interactive sessions, Q&A opportunities, and the chance for members to connect and collaborate.
Malhotra said:
“Equality is at the very core of co-operation, and the hard-fought struggle for equality goes back to the very earliest days of the co-operative movement. This conference is a chance to celebrate those values and strengthen our work to empower communities.”
There is still time for members to register and join the discussions, with the event promising to be a highlight in the Co-operative Party’s calendar.
