Cllr Kemi Akinola, Deputy Leader of Wandsworth Council, opened the reception by celebrating the immense effort of women entrepreneurs. Drawing on her own experience as a business owner, she highlighted the tangible support already being delivered by the Labour government and set the evening's purpose: to build a symbiotic relationship between the party and women in business.
