London Mayor Sadiq Khan says City Hall interventions have secured planning approval for 10,058 homes across eight schemes in eight boroughs. The cases involved schemes that had been stalled or rejected by borough councils.

The approvals allow the developments to proceed; they do not mean the homes have already been built. Inside Housing reported that 2,897 homes across six of the schemes were approved, with 27% designated as affordable.
