Chris Webb has pledged to keep pressing for the police funding and officers Blackpool South needs after joining a neighbourhood walkabout in Claremont with Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner and local officers.

The Labour MP met Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw and local officers to discuss concerns raised by residents, including illegal use of e-bikes and e-scooters, drug dealing and retail crime.
Operations Centurion and Vulture
Officers explained their work through Operation Centurion against antisocial behaviour, Operation Vulture against shoplifting and violence towards shopworkers, and Nightsafe to protect people in the night-time economy.
In a statement published on 7 October, Webb praised Claremont’s neighbourhood policing team and said the local policing hub was making a substantial difference.
He said hearing directly from residents about both positive experiences and problems was valuable, and committed to continuing his work with officers and the commissioner to secure the policing support the constituency needs.
