Business Secretary Peter Kyle welcomed the investment coming into the country since Labour took office and updated Conference about the Government’s support for Jaguar Land Rover – an iconic British company and a jewel in the crown of our economy. Housing Secretary Steve Reed set out the Government’s mantra of “build, baby, build” , backing our country’s builders by streamlining planning rules and building a new generation of new towns. Science and Technology Secretary Liz Kendall spoke about embracing the “age of Artificial Intelligence”, and Labour’s plans to harness the power of AI and make it work for all.
Other key announcements included the introduction of a new NHS ‘online hospital’ - NHS online , transforming higher and further education , a library in every primary school in England , delivering Great British Railways - a publicly-owned railway that is fit for Britain’s future
and cutting energy bills for schools and hospitals with GB Energy

Throughout our Conference, Labour showed that we are listening to business, acting on what we hear, and delivering. Labour is serious about growth, serious about jobs, serious about making Britain an open trading nation and serious about investing in Britain’s renewal.
