Blerina Hashani has brought forward a school-places and capital programme update as Ealing’s Cabinet approved the procurement of high-priority school repair works.

The decisions were taken on 7 October. Cabinet also agreed to add £537,000 in confirmed Section 106 planning contributions to the existing condition-works budget.
Hashani, the Labour cabinet member for a Fairer Start, presented the update amid changing demand for school places and children’s services.
Councillors authorised officers to award contracts for the projects listed in a confidential appendix. The programme addresses building and infrastructure risks that could disrupt teaching.
Cabinet also approved bringing the 2027–28 Schools Condition Allocation into the capital programme once the grant is announced, which is expected in March 2027.
That future allocation has not yet been confirmed. The decisions remain subject to the council’s call-in process.
