UK and Netherlands PMs pledge continued support for Ukraine amid renewed Russian strikes

The UK Prime Minister held talks today with the Dutch Prime Minister, during which they condemned Russia’s recent intensification of strikes on Kyiv and reaffirmed the need for sustained international backing for Ukraine’s defence.

The meeting came ahead of a high-profile summit at Downing Street tomorrow — set to include the UK, France, Germany and Ukraine — where leaders will discuss ongoing peace negotiations and the next steps in supporting Kyiv.

Both Prime Ministers stressed that Ukraine’s security remains vital to Europe’s stability, and committed to continued cooperation through the “Coalition of the Willing” and other international efforts. They agreed to stay in close touch.
