London — Labour MP Amanda Martin has given her full endorsement to newly launched digital platform Labour Home, describing it as a vital space for uniting activists, MPs, councillors and communities behind Labour policies.
Speaking at the official Labour Home reception held in the Jubilee Room at the UK Parliament, Martin said the platform offers a unique opportunity to “tell the Labour story” — one grounded in everyday people’s experiences.
“Labour Home is a fantastic platform — bringing together activists, councillors, MPs, communities, and our most dedicated workers,” she said. “It gives us a real chance to put across the Labour story from the grassroots up.”
Martin pointed to recent initiatives supported by Labour Home, such as the launch of the “Lab Men and Boys” group, as evidence of the platform’s ability to support inclusive politics and ensure that party policies serve everyone across the UK.
She added that Labour Home has the potential to boost the party’s national — and international — voice, helping to attract investment and deliver improvement across communities. According to Martin, the platform offers valuable insight into what people are experiencing on the ground, strengthening connections between policymakers and constituents.
While she acknowledged that nothing can fully replace the traditional method of door-to-door campaigning and direct outreach, Martin argued that Labour Home can complement grassroots organising by amplifying positive stories — helping to counter what she described as misinformation or negativity in broader media coverage.
Labour Home was formally launched at the reception in the Jubilee Room, with the aim of creating a dedicated space for news, commentary and engagement within the Labour movement. The platform intends to bring together a wide range of voices — from grassroots activists to national figures — and offer inclusive, accessible coverage of the issues that matter to Labour supporters.
